Sports items distribution youths in Three Village Committees
A sports items distribution programme has been held by local leadership on Monday to promote physical activity among young people at the local level.
The programme was conducted at Gobachhan Para under West Manikya Village Committee, Panchafa Para under Jatan Bari Village Committee, and Ramchandra Para under East Manikya Village Committee. The children received volleyballs and cricket kits from the organisers.
The objectives of the initiative were to inspire rural youths to engage in outdoor sports. There was also emphasis on the development of teamwork skills, discipline, and positive lifestyles. The youths generally received the initiative with open minds and recognized the sports gear as useful for their participation in outdoor sports.
Bishal Debbarma, Block Secretary, participated in the programme. Senior leaders of the party, including Santa Ram Reang, Holen Mohan Tripura, Pushpa Rai Tripura, Saten Joy Reang, Ranjit Reang, and others, were present
The leaders encouraged the youths to use the sports items responsibly. The leaders emphasized the necessity of sports in character building, discipline, and personal development.
Such programmes help in identifying sporting talent from the grass-root level. Moreover, these programmes inspire the young generation to lead a healthy lifestyle.
