Udaipur, Gomati District:Shivraj Chouhan Gomati Visit
Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, interacted with farmers and Self-Help Group (SHG) members of the SMAE (ATMA) scheme at the Office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture, Gomati District, Udaipur.
During this interaction, the Union Minister listened to the concerns of local farmers. He also acknowledged their suggestions. The Union Minister also focused on the Government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector with the help of technology, agricultural practices, and financial support schemes.
Shri Chouhan has encouraged farmers to actively participate in schemes organized by the central and state governments to strengthen productivity and income levels. He has also emphasized the need to be self-reliant and innovative in order to develop rural areas.
Officials of the Agriculture Department were also present at the meeting and informed the Minister on ongoing projects and implementation status of SMAE (ATMA) schemes within the district.
The interaction attempted to improve coordination between the policymakers and grassroots stakeholders, which would be advantageous to the residents of Gomati District.
