Tripura Police Week 2026: Khowai District Police Hosts Student Exposure Visit at SP Office
Khowai, February 27, 2026: As part of the Tripura Police Week Celebrations–2026, the Tripura Police organised an exposure visit for school students at the SP Office, Khowai. Through this initiative, officers introduced students to the real-world functioning of district-level policing.
Students Explore Police Administration
First, senior officers welcomed the students and explained how the district police maintain law and order. They described crime investigation procedures and demonstrated how teams coordinate emergency responses.
Moreover, officials outlined how the SP Office handles public grievances and supervises field units. As a result, students gained practical insight into administrative and operational responsibilities.
Meanwhile, officers encouraged students to ask questions. This interactive approach helped them understand how leadership decisions directly impact public safety.
“SP for a Day” Inspires Leadership
Notably, one student stepped into the role of Superintendent of Police for the day. The officers guided the student through mock briefing sessions and simulated decision-making exercises.
Through this hands-on experience, the student learned how leaders evaluate situations, assign responsibilities, and ensure discipline. Consequently, the activity strengthened confidence and leadership skills.
Building Stronger Community–Police Relations
Additionally, the district police designed the programme to strengthen community–police engagement. By opening the SP Office to students, officers promoted transparency and trust.
Furthermore, such outreach initiatives encourage young people to consider careers in public service. Therefore, the exposure visit not only educated students but also built a stronger connection between the police and the community.
The programme concluded with a guided tour of various sections of the SP Office, followed by a group interaction session.
