Block-wise Free Assessment Camp at Kalyanpur RD Block

A Block-wise Free Assessment Camp for Divyangjan and senior citizens took place on 10th February 2026 at the BRPC Hall, Kalyanpur RD Block under Madhya Kalyanpur GP.

The Khowai District Administration organised the camp in collaboration with ALIMCO, RMC Guwahati. Together, they aimed to identify eligible beneficiaries and provide proper assessment for assistive devices.

Purpose of the Camp

The administration launched this initiative to strengthen inclusive welfare at the grassroots level. First, medical experts examined Divyangjan and elderly participants carefully. Then, technical teams recorded individual requirements. As a result, officials identified suitable aids such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, walking sticks, and artificial limbs.

Moreover, the camp helped many rural residents who often face difficulties in accessing such services. Therefore, organising the programme at the block level ensured convenience and wider participation.

Officials guided beneficiaries through the documentation process. Additionally, they explained eligibility criteria and future distribution procedures. Meanwhile, ALIMCO representatives ensured accurate assessment for quality assistive devices.

Because of proper coordination, the entire programme ran smoothly. Furthermore, district officials monitored the arrangements to maintain transparency and efficiency.
