Health Camp Organised for Migrant Workers at Teliamura Brick Field
The Labour Department arranged a special health camp for migrant workers at Laxminarayan Brick Field under Teliamura Sub-Division with the help of the Chief Medical Officer, Khowai.
By launching this initiative, the government aimed at protecting the health and welfare of migrant workers employed in the brick field.
Doctors Conduct Health Check-Ups
First, the health check-up process involved examining workers and evaluating their health status. Doctors conducted routine health check-ups and identified workers who needed immediate health attention.
In addition, the Health Department provided necessary medications to the beneficiaries. Consequently, workers received proper health attention without having to go to distant places for treatment.
Ensuring Welfare of Migrant Workforce
Moreover, officials engaged with the workers and advised them to practice health and hygiene habits and consult doctors whenever they needed assistance. The government arranged the health camp to ensure that migrant workers receive proper health support.
By conducting such health camps, the government not only ensures better health services but also helps build trust between workers and the government. Thus, the initiative again reveals the government’s constant concern for protecting the health and welfare of every worker.
