Panchayat representatives felicitated
A felicitation ceremony for Panchayat representatives took place yesterday at the Airport Authority of India Officers Institute, New Delhi, as part of the Republic Day Celebration 2026. The event was organised under the programme of the Panchayati Raj Department.
Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Shri S. P. Singh Baghel, presided over the ceremony. He felicitated Panchayat representatives from different states of the country in recognition of their contribution to grassroots governance.
Representing Tripura, South Tripura District Council President Shri Deepak Dutta received the honour. The recognition highlighted his leadership and dedicated service in strengthening the Panchayati Raj system in the state.
On this proud occasion, heartfelt gratitude was expressed to Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for his guidance and support. Special thanks were also extended to Hon’ble Minister of Panchayat Department Shri Kishore Barman, the State Panchayat Department, and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India.
The ceremony reflected the importance of Panchayati Raj institutions in nation-building and honoured those working tirelessly at the grassroots level.
