The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the RBI Assistant Recruitment 2026 notification for 650 vacancies. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website at rbi.org.in.

Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Age Limit

The age of the candidate should be between 20 and 28 years. In other words, candidates born between February 2, 1998, and February 1, 2006, are eligible. In addition, relaxation in age will be provided as per government norms.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of three stages.

Preliminary Examination

The prelims exam includes 100 questions for 100 marks and lasts for 60 minutes. Candidates must qualify in each section separately.

Main Examination

Furthermore, the main exam consists of 200 questions for 200 marks with a duration of 135 minutes. Only those who qualify in the prelims will be eligible to appear for this stage.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Finally, candidates shortlisted from the main examination must undergo a Language Proficiency Test in the official or local language of the respective state. Therefore, language skills are also important for final selection.

Examination Fee

The application fee is ₹50 + 18% GST for SC/ST/PwBD/EXS candidates. On the other hand, General/OBC/EWS candidates must pay ₹450 + 18% GST. Additionally, the payment must be made through online mode only.

After that, one needs to fill out the application form, attach the documents, and pay the fee. Finally, one needs to submit the form and download the confirmation page.
