The Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU), TRLM, Karbook R.D Block will organise a Block Level Mega Blood Donation Camp on 18th December 2025 at the Karbook R.N. Sub-Divisional (Naraiha) Hospital premises. The programme will begin at 10:00 AM and aims to strengthen public health awareness while encouraging voluntary blood donation across the block.
Importantly, this initiative reflects a growing commitment to community welfare and people-centric development in Karbook. Over the years, the demand for safe blood has increased steadily. Therefore, such large-scale camps play a crucial role in saving lives.
Convergence of Health and Awareness Campaigns
The event is being organised as a part of the Block Level Mega Blood Donation Camp. Through this campaign follow-up convergence activities shall be done with Nayi Chetna 4.0, Samriddhi 2.0 and Land Literacy Awareness Campaign. Under this comprehensive initiative, the administration aims to link health support to social and legal sensitisation.
Furthermore, this tight fit leads to the fact that multiple advantages may be derived from one and the same platform by its citizens. “Donating blood is for emergencies, medical need; but creating awareness is empowering people with information on health, hygiene and [rights and responsibilities]”. Hence, the program is one of entire community development rather than simple welfare programs.

Why Voluntary Blood Donation Matters
The number one way to save lives remains voluntary blood donation. One unit of blood can save up to three lives, according to doctors that appear in the programme. But rural and semi urban areas may experience dearth of them in a medical crisis.
In view of the same, it becomes imperative, that there need to be block level Mega Blood Donation Camp. “Through this process of mobilising healthy Indians to donate blood, the government wants to make ensure it remains available for accident victims and pregnant ladies as well as surgical patients and cancer patients” a statement said.
And the whole thing will be monitored by trained medical teams. They will adhere to the usual safety procedures of donor assessment and post-donation care to safeguard participant health.
Strong Focus on Community and Youth Participation | Mega Blood Donation Camp
The organisers have urged citizens, youths, SHG members, volunteers, and community leaders to participate in large numbers. Youth participation, in particular, remains a key focus of the programme.
Young donors not only help meet immediate blood requirements but also build a long-term culture of voluntary service. Consequently, their involvement strengthens social unity and inspires others to contribute positively to society.
Administrative Coordination and Planning | Mega Blood Donation Camp
Shri Subrajit Paul, TCS, Convener and Block Development Officer, Karbook R.D Block, is coordinating the programme. Under his leadership, the administration has ensured proper arrangements for registration, medical supervision, and crowd management.
