Bangladesh visa suspended in Agartala, Visa and consular services at the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala will remain suspended from December 23 2025 until further notice. The move was made due to security fears after protests in recent days and changes in the region.
The ban is applicable to all categories of visas including those for tourists, medical treatment and business visits. This is likely to cause inconvenience to a large number people of Tripura who frequently visit Bangladesh for medical treatment, trade and private purposes.
Security measures have been tightened in Agartala especially sensitive pockets. Travelers have been, meanwhile, urged to be informed through official announcements before scheduling for cross-border visits.
The suspension is temporary and the services will resume when the situation returns to normal, it added. Until then, we kindly ask applicants not to attended the visa office.
