New Gomati, February 6, 2026:
Authorities arranged an awareness camp at New Gomati Village Committee on Thursday. Firstly, the program encompassed sessions on the ill effects of tobacco and drug addiction. Secondly, the program highlighted the preventive measures to be taken to avoid child marriage. In addition to this, the program focused on the health and hygiene of women. In the meantime, individuals received healthy food to enhance healthy eating habits.
To begin with, speakers explained the serious health risks linked to tobacco and drug use. Moreover, they urged young people to avoid addiction and adopt healthy lifestyles. As a result, participants gained a clearer understanding of how substance abuse harms families and communities.
Meanwhile, officials discussed child marriage in detail. In particular, they explained its legal consequences and long-term social impact. Therefore, community members encouraged parents to support education and safeguard children’s rights.
Furthermore, health workers shared practical tips on women’s health and personal hygiene. For example, they stressed cleanliness, balanced nutrition, and regular health check-ups. At the same time, the distribution of nutritious food reinforced these messages on wellbeing.
It is interesting to note that ward members and the chairman attended the camp along with SHG members, VOCC, and VO representatives. PWD and Health officials also actively attended the meeting. At last, DRP, “Mentor Madam,” and LRP supported and attended the meeting.
