A United Community Front | Sabroom Child Marriage Campaign
The awareness drive focuses on early identification and prevention. Moreover, it encourages responsible reporting and community monitoring of suspected cases. Through meetings, workshops, and outreach programs, officials are spreading awareness about the legal, social, and health consequences of child marriage.
The campaign aligns with national child protection laws, including the provisions under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act. In addition, it reinforces the broader mission of safeguarding children’s rights across the country.
Empowerment Through Education
At its core, the campaign promotes education and empowerment for girls and boys alike. Therefore, it highlights the importance of keeping children in school and creating opportunities for skill development.
Community leaders have emphasized that every child deserves a safe and opportunity-filled childhood. Furthermore, early marriage often disrupts education and limits future growth. Hence, preventing it becomes a shared responsibility.
