The celebrations took an unexpected turn when several women reported gold chain snatching.
According to the complaints, unknown persons snatched around three gold chains inside the Jagannath Bari fairground before the procession began. Later, after the chariot reached the Mahadev Bari temple premises, four to five more women reported similar incidents.
