South Tripura Bus Owners Association Opens New Karbook Branch, New Committee Formed
Karbook, Tripura: The South Tripura Bus Owners Association opened its new Karbook Branch on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The association also held its 1st Conference at the Karbook Bazar Committee Office.
The programme began at 11 AM. Local bus owners and association members attended the event.
Sanjay Manik Tripura, MLA of the 43-Karbook Assembly Constituency, attended the programme as the Chief Guest and Inaugurator.
Social workers Atindra Reang and Hiranmoy Tripura also joined the programme. In addition, Gaman Joy Reang, SDPO of Karbook Sub-Division, attended as a Special Guest.
Several association leaders also attended the conference. They included Sanjoy Ghosh, Member of the Central Committee of the South Tripura Bus Owners Association, and Debabrata Sarkar, Convener of the association.
Meanwhile, Raju Majumdar, Gomati District President, and Bimal Deb, Gomati District Secretary, also attended the event.


New Karbook Branch Committee
The association formed a new committee for the Karbook Branch during the conference.
The new committee includes:
- President: Manik Miah
- Vice-President: Purna Devi Tripura
- Secretary: Bulan Karmakar
- Joint Secretary: Tahir Miah
- Cashier: Dhanujoy Reang
The new committee will lead the association’s activities in the Karbook area. It will also coordinate with bus owners and the association’s district and central leadership.

The new branch gives local bus owners a platform to discuss their concerns. It can also help improve coordination among transport operators in the area.
