Penalties for Allowing Minors to Drive
Strong penalties for such cases were listed by the Tripura Police:
- A fine of ₹ 25,000 for the vehicle owner or guardian
- Imprisonment of the responsible adult for up to three years
- Cancellation of the vehicle’s registration for one year
- No driving license for the minor until the age of 25
