CM Manik Saha to Visit Delhi for Event on Tripura’s 100% Literacy Achievement
Agartala, September 6, 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha is set to visit New Delhi again. He will attend a programme organised by the Union Ministry of Education.
The event will highlight Tripura’s recent 100 per cent literacy achievement. Saha is expected to attend the programme as the chief guest and deliver the keynote address.
The visit will give Tripura an opportunity to present its literacy journey at the national level.
Tripura’s Literacy Achievement in Focus
Saha announced his upcoming Delhi visit while speaking at a BJP programme in the state.
During his address, the Chief Minister highlighted Tripura’s literacy achievement. He said the milestone reflects the combined efforts of the government, teachers and people.
According to Saha, only a small number of states have reached a similar level of literacy.
The achievement has also brought greater attention to Tripura’s education sector.
CM Highlights State’s Development
The Chief Minister also spoke about Tripura’s progress in other areas.
Saha said the state has received 360 national awards for its performance in different sectors. He presented the awards as evidence of the state’s development under the current government.
At the same time, he highlighted the importance of continuing development work across the state.
Political Issues Also Raised
The Chief Minister also spoke about the political situation in Tripura.
He criticised Opposition parties during his address. Saha alleged that the Opposition was trying to question the government’s development record.
However, the Chief Minister said such criticism would not affect the government’s focus on development.
He also expressed confidence about the BJP’s prospects in the next Assembly election.
Delhi Programme to Showcase Tripura
The Union Education Ministry’s programme will place Tripura’s literacy achievement in the national spotlight.
During the event, Saha is expected to discuss the state’s experience and efforts behind the literacy milestone.
The programme could also provide an opportunity to highlight the role of schools, teachers and local communities.
For Tripura, the event marks an important moment for its education sector.
The Chief Minister’s Delhi visit is therefore being closely watched, particularly as the state seeks to build on its literacy achievement and strengthen its wider education initiatives.
