BDO Conducts Field Inspection in Karbook Block

The Block Development Officer (BDO) of Karbook conducted an inspection of several drinking water sources in the Karbook R.D. Block. These water supply systems were developed by the Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) Department under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

During the visit, the BDO checked the functioning and condition of the water supply infrastructure. Firstly, he examined pipelines, water storage tanks, and other supply systems. In addition, he reviewed the overall maintenance of the facilities. The inspection aimed to ensure that the systems operate properly and provide regular water supply to the residents.

Focus on Safe and Sustainable Drinking Water

The main objective of the inspection was to ensure safe and uninterrupted drinking water for rural households. Therefore, officials paid special attention to the sustainability of the water sources. Moreover, they verified whether the infrastructure continues to serve the community effectively.

Access to clean drinking water is essential for maintaining public health. Consequently, the administration continues to monitor water supply systems in rural areas. Such inspections help ensure that residents receive safe and reliable drinking water.

Interaction with Local Residents

Meanwhile, the BDO and accompanying officials interacted with local residents during the inspection. Villagers shared their experiences regarding the functioning of the water supply facilities. As a result, officials gained a better understanding of the ground situation.

Furthermore, these interactions helped authorities identify areas that may require repair or improvement. Local feedback also plays an important role in strengthening the implementation of development programmes.
