Gokulpur Bike Accident: Youth Dies on Spot, Rider Seriously Injured

A tragic bike accident near Gokulpur Market on the National Highway claimed the life of a young man on Tuesday night. The deceased was Sourav Chakraborty. The accident also left bike rider Yunis Mia seriously injured.
The accident occurred at around 10:30 PM, when Sourav and Yunis travelled from Udaipur towards Salgarh. According to eyewitnesses and a friend of the deceased, the motorcycle hit the rear of a bus near Gokulpur Market.
The collision threw Sourav onto the road. He suffered critical injuries and died at the spot, according to preliminary information.
The crash also left Yunis Mia seriously injured. Local residents quickly gathered at the accident site after hearing the news. The crowd disrupted traffic on the National Highway and caused a long traffic jam in both directions.
Residents also expressed anger over the police response. According to local people, the police took considerable time to reach the accident site.
Later, Radhakishorepur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sanjib Laskar explained the delay. He said the police station did not have a vehicle available when the accident occurred, which delayed the police response.
Police eventually reached Gokulpur and took control of the situation. Officers recovered Sourav’s body and started the process of sending it for a post-mortem examination. They also arranged medical treatment for the injured rider, Yunis Mia.
Police are now investigating the accident. Officers will examine how the motorcycle collided with the bus and determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
The accident has caused grief among residents in the Gokulpur area. Police investigation will provide further details about the exact cause of the collision.
