Amarpur Tripura News Leaders and representatives of several surrendered groups met at the Old Town Hall in Amarpur for a district-level seminar and awareness programme.
The organisers held the meeting under the banner of the Joint Movement Committee (JMC). The committee brought together representatives of different surrendered groups to discuss their long-pending demands.
Leaders Raise Rehabilitation Issues
The meeting focused mainly on the problems faced by surrendered cadres. The leaders said they have raised several demands with the government over the years.
However, they alleged that the government has not yet taken sufficient steps to fulfil all their demands.

The Joint Movement Committee includes representatives from NLFT (Ori), NLFT (PD), ATTF (AD) and JARC/JAC returnee groups.

Among those present were NLFT (Ori) leader Prasenjit Debbarma, NLFT (PD) leader Parimal Debbarma, Uttam Joy Reang, JAC president Ananta Kumar Jamatia, JMC convener Jibanjay Reang and central committee member Dhwajay Reang.
