The Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M), organized a rally and submitted a memorandum to the Public Works Department (PWD) office in Karbook Sub-Division on Thursday. The party also raised several public demands, with a strong focus on road development and public infrastructure.
Rally Highlights Public Issues
First, the rally started from the CPI(M) Karbook Sub-Divisional Party Office. Then, party leaders, workers, supporters, and local residents joined the march. After that, the rally moved through the main roads of Karbook market.
During the march, participants raised slogans demanding better roads, faster construction work, and quick repair of damaged roads. In addition, they urged the government to improve public infrastructure across the area.
Memorandum Submitted to PWD
Later, the rally reached the Karbook Sub-Divisional PWD office. A CPI(M) delegation met the officer in charge and handed over a memorandum. The delegation also requested the department to take quick action on the issues and speed up development work.
Officials Respond
Meanwhile, party sources said the PWD officials accepted the memorandum. Furthermore, they assured the delegation that they would forward the demands to the higher authorities for review.
Programme Ends Peacefully
Finally, the programme ended peacefully. As a result, local CPI(M) leaders, party workers, supporters, and many residents completed the programme without any untoward incident. The party also said it will continue to raise public issues and seek better roads and infrastructure for the people of Karbook.
